Gabrielle Littrean, MA
Clinical Mental Health Counselor
Gabrielle Littrean, MA, believes mental health is just as important as physical health. She is an advocate for destigmatizing mental health and brings empathy, compassion, and a genuine approach into sessions. Gabrielle places value on hearing the client’s story from their own perspective. She uses a collaborative approach between counselor-client to help guide and empower the client through the struggle(s) they are facing. Gabrielle values multiculturalism and believes no two clients are the same.
She has worked with adolescents struggling with: depression, anxiety, gender, sexuality, suicidal ideation, and emotional dysregulation. Gabrielle has also worked with adults struggling with substance use, trauma, and PTSD. Gabrielle has specifically worked with adolescents and adults to assist them with: developing coping skills, identifying unhelpful thoughts and behavioral patterns, challenging those thoughts and behaviors, and processing emotions. She is Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) certified. She personally believes in the benefits of practicing mindfulness, and the importance of maintaining social connection.
Prior to being in the mental health field, Gabrielle attended nursing school. While spending quality time listening and talking with her patients, she saw how much it was appreciated and how much she loved connecting with them. Gabrielle realized she was meant to be in the mental health field. She graduated from Rutgers University with her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, and earned a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Caldwell University. To Gabrielle, counseling is more than just a job, it is a genuine passion.
Her favorite word is HOPE. She believes it is the driving force and motivator of life. Gabrielle believes in her clients and will always strive to empower them and remind them of… HOPE.
